Afra Jamadar

Afra Jamadar is a recent graduate with a BA (Hons) in Health & Society from York University and holds certification in research ethics from the Government of Canada’s Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (2022). She is passionate about health equity and displacement related issues, with a focus on how newcomers experience community and health services. She believes displacement is not a distant issue, but one that shapes and strengthens our local communities. At DHRN, she brings her research and storytelling skills to amplify displaced voices and connect global stories to local realities.
